Standard resolution image captured at a rate much faster than usual (60 frames/second North America, 50 fps Europe), by high speed camera can be considered high-definition in some contexts. Several television series shot in high-definition video that is made to look as if they've been shot on film, a technique that is often known as the filmizing. HDTV broadcast systems associated with three main parameters: Frame size in pixels is defined as the number of pixels horizontal × vertical pixels, for example number of 1280 × 720 or 1920 × 1080. Often times the number of pixels horizontally are implied from context and omitted, as in the case of 720 p and 1080 p. Scanning system is identified with the letter p for progressive scanning or i for interlaced scan. Frame rate is identified as the number of video frames per second. For interlaced systems, the number of frames per second must be specified, but it is not uncommon to see a level playing field which is used instead. Naming of commercial products, frame rate often falls and implied from context (e.g., a television set 1080i). Frame rate can also be specified without a resolution. Josh Evans is a psychic with a troubled past. He may have powers that others can not explain, the newspapers have dragged his name through the mud so of course no one wants to hire him. His luck is about to change though as a wealthy entrepreneur has invited him to a remote island with others to see his collection. It is a collection that will soon see itself as an attraction....the first ever ghost theme park.
Creator/writer Joseph Oliveira has come up with an idea that will have you intrigued from the beginning. A few films came to mind while reading this comic and they are, THIR13EN GHOSTS (2001), HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL (1959) and for atmosphere Agatha Christie's novel 'And Then There Were None'. Anabela Turlione is a 2D animator and comic book artist in her own right. Her art alongside Oliveira's words are captivating and will have you wanting more by the time you reach the conclusion of this 43 page comic. This issue is drawn in black and white and I would imagine this is what will be the case for future issues. Some may wish to see this comic in colour, but the black and white gives it an ominous appearance just as much as the island itself. Issue 2 is titled 'Crossing Over' so we can imagine that we will start to see what Josh Evans psychic abilities really are and will they help why they are all on GHOST ISLAND.

A Kickstarter for ISSUE 2 has commenced. Click HERE to help issue 2 become a reality.
